Forbes.com recently ran an in-depth article featuring Formnext Chicago and IMTS – The International Manufacturing Technology Show that addresses the growth of 3D printing on the factory floor. The article, by Carolyn Schwaar, explores the many factory floor-ready 3D printing technology solutions, including the “latest in machine tools, injection molders, robotics, and, of course, 3D printers,” showcased at IMTS 2024 during its run last week on Sept. 9-14 at McCormick Place in Chicago.
The article highlights several exhibitors from the Additive Manufacturing Sector at IMTS 2024 who offer industrial additive manufacturing solutions that move beyond prototyping and are integrated into manufacturing operations. Schwaar goes on to discuss the advent and importance of Formnext Chicago, the U.S. premiere of the world’s largest additive manufacturing trade show that represents “the full ecosystem of the AM industry.”
Schwaar notes: “Growing toward industrial manufacturing with 3D printers from prototyping with them is not just the journey customers are on; many 3D printer makers, too, have moved from offering prototyping machines to offering what they market as factory-focused 3D printers.”
Formnext Chicago will be held April 8-10, 2025, at McCormick Place in Chicago.
